Distance Cycled: 0 miles
Our Total Flat Tires on trip to date: 1
Today we woke up and Joan made us another great breakfast. Mid-morning Mary Kay had another appointment for a massage. When she came back she felt much better. She was almost pain free for the first time in 6 days. In the afternoon Jim and Bee Weaver transported us from Corinth to Tupelo. Jim Weaver hauled our bicycles in his pickup truck. All the women rode with Joan in her car. This allowed Mary Kay one more day of rest, and time to have her massage. After unloading the bicycles, Joan took us to the house were Elvis Presley was born. It is called a shotgun house because the front door, the door between the rooms and the back door are all lined up.
Elvis's father built the house with $135 worth of materials. The house has 450 square feet of space in two rooms. Boy, was that house ever small. After visiting Elvis's birthplace we went to an Italian restaurant for supper, then back to the motel to pack for tomorrow.
