Distance Cycled: Zero miles
Today was a rest day or a no ride bicycle day. George, Jane, Ken and Scott all got up early and left at 6:30 to play golf across the river in Nebraska. The rest of us stayed in the motel and had a later breakfast. Barb and I did laundry and then we walked downtown with Jim while he got a haircut. We also visited the Art Museum and several studios with good art work. Jim re-oiled our bicycle chain and we bought a new tail light for the bicycle.
Barb, Jim and I had a good lunch at a downtown restaurant, while the golfers ate at the Marina in Nebraska. In the afternoon everyone worked on the bicycles, rested, read books and watched TV. For supper George and Jane ate in their hotel room and the rest of us want out for dinner. At 7:00 everyone, but George, want to the movies to watch Shrek 2 a very good movie and it was fun to relax and laugh.
George noticed that he is having trouble with stripped threads on the screw that holds the front derailleur. So the decision was made that they will not start riding tomorrow until he can visit the bicycle shop. George did not notice the problem, until late in the day when the shop was already closed. Tomorrow it should be raining early in the day so we may all start late.
