Jane Sereda and George Kyriazis have been touring on tandem bicycles since they wed in 1993 and Jane moved from Calgary, Alberta to the Tri Cities where George had been living for 30 years. George is a retired Westinghouse construction engineer who now does volunteer work with planning councils, and Jane is a retired school administrator who now has a business as a sports massage therapist.
Jane and George have toured by themselves, with small groups of friends, and with a variety of clubs and commercial ventures. Some of their trips include: the 200 mile Seattle to Portland Ride, tours of the wine country in France, covered bridges in Washington and Oregon, the Southern Cross from California to Florida, around Nova Scotia, the island of Kona, and 3 week tour of Denmark. During the year 2000, Jane and George traveled around the world, spending 6 months of that year on the bicycle in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Ireland, Spain and Portugal. Their well-traveled tandem is a Bike Friday "Tuesday" which has had many transatlantic flights and even some train and bus rides when necessary.
