The sky was cloudy when we woke up this morning. However, it was not raining and a few small patches of blue sky could be seen. We ate continental breakfast at the motel and headed south to Seaside. We traveled by back roads to Fort Clatsop, where the Lewis and Clark expedition spent the winter of 1805.
We spent an hour or more looking at the exhibits and the reconstructed fort. We then continued to Seaside. We were traveling by back roads and every time we went up a hill, our legs yelled and I had no strength or endurance. We are taking a rest day in Seaside and our legs really need the rest. We found the motel without any trouble. At 3:00 PM we left the motel and went to a much-deserved late lunch. After lunch we wondered around the town and Jane found a time-share that they belong to. We spent an hour looking over the facility and Jane made reservations for tomorrow night. We will move if they have a place where we can safely store our bicycle. Mary Kay completed the laundry detail we will have clean clothes for the rest of the trip. For supper we want back to the same restaurant and ordered dessert.
