Distance Cycled: Zero miles

Last night Absher's stayed in a different motel, their room was not smoky but the rest of us had rooms that smelled of cigarette smoke so we moved half a block down to a different (non-smoking) motel.

After breakfast, Mary Kay ran across the parking lot of the motel and had a hair cut, which is something that both Ken and Jan did later on in the day. At 10:00 all 8 of us walked down to the Missouri River and caught a River Tour. It was a great tour and we learned lots about the local history, and Lewis and Clark's adventures in this area.

Tour Boat

We then all walked to an excellent restaurant for lunch. Following lunch Jan and Ken returned to their hotel room, Jane and George walked up to the hospital where Jane had her knee checked. Her knee was bothering her and we all wanted to make sure she was taking care of her legs properly. She then rested/iced the leg the rest of the day and is now feeling better.

State Capitol

The rest of us walked about two miles up to the South Dakota state capitol building, and toured the building and grounds. We then walked another mile to the Heritage Center which is built in the side of the hill. It was a great museum and well worth the walk. We then walked back to the motel.

Jane and George ate dinner in the motel room and the rest of us want back to the same great restaurant where we had eaten lunch for a wonderful Pasta dinner. Jim fixed the back of Mary Kay's seat, so we are ready to travel tomorrow. The only trouble is we do not have any disk breaks and will not have any until the parts are mailed to us in Wagner, SD, next Sunday.
