Bicycling Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico - 2006
Granby, CO - Rest Day
June 22, 2006
Distance 1.3 Miles
Climbing Elevation: 40 feet
Today was a rest day. We got up late, packed up our stuff, loaded up the bicycle, and checked out of our motel. We stopped at the Post Office and mailed some cold weather clothes home and by 8:30 we were sitting in a restaurant eating breakfast. We then walked the bicycle across the street and a couple of blocks to our new motel. The owner was waiting for us and the room was ready for an early check in.
We unloaded our stuff, put the bicycle in the room and left to walk around town. We stopped and bought 23 cents worth of ribbon, so we can tell our new panniers apart. We also bought a birthday card. All in all we did not change the economy of Granby. Most of the day was spent reading books, playing solitary on the computer, and watching TV, all in all a perfect rest day for the legs.
