The alarm want off at 5:00 AM which was really 6:00 at breakfast at the restaurant next door and changed time zones 1 mile out of town, as we drove over the Apalachicola River.
Everything was the same today as the last 5 days, we rode into a headwind all day. Today it was 90 degrees when we arrived at the motel. Both of us were very warm and not used to the humidity. We had lots of stops today about every 5 miles. One stop was an Ice Cream store in Marianna, where Jim had an apple fritter about the size of a dinner plate.
We arrived at the motel around 1:00 rested and cooled down for about an hour then took most of the weight of the bicycle, took it out of the motel and rode another 3 miles to Florida's tallest water falls at Falling Water's State Recreation Park. Bad news it is summer and there was No water going over the falls.
We then returned to the motel, cleaned up did our computer work and then walked to a fast food place for dinner, as we did not feel like walking the 3miles back to town to find a restaurant.
