Talihina OK - Rest Day

This morning we woke up early and walked down to Pam's Diner for breakfast; saw the same waitress we had yesterday for lunch. We then returned to the room read until time for church to start. We attended the church across the street. Talihina has about 5,000 people and 13 churches. We enjoyed the service with a visiting Minister, but it was sad to see only 23 people in the church including 5 visitors. It is a very devout congregation, just need some younger members.

We left church and walked back to Pam's for lunch to find all 17 tables full of people and when we left people were waiting for tables to become available. Everyone was friendly and enjoying each others company.

This afternoon Mary Kay walked to the laundry mat and we now have clean clothes and Jim spent a couple of hours cleaning and oiling our bicycle chains. This should be the last time this will need to be done on this trip, as we only have 7 more days to ride.

For supper all but one of the restaurants were closed (the one we had supper at last night) so we walked to the grocery store and returned to the motel room for supper.

Tonight the motel is almost empty and all the motorcycles are gone.
