Talihina to Clayton OK
Distance: 26.9 Miles
This morning we rode to the restaurant had oatmeal for breakfast asked everyone if they knew who/why the open Bible Walk had been created. No one knew, just said it had been there forever. We then rode back to the motel and picked up our luggage and headed out. It was an easy 26 miles, the weather was cool, hills were easy, traffic was low, and the road was not too bumpy. We arrived in town, asked a couple of people where is the best motel and they all said go out of town to Clayton County Inn. They also have the best restaurant in town, but they do not serve lunch. So we had the grocery store make sandwiches for us to take to the motel. We arrived to a lovely inn in the country. It is a very relaxing place to be.
We ate our lunch in our room, and walked over to the lodge to use the internet to catch up on our emails. After we had been at the inn for about 4 hours, Jim noticed the front tire was flat. It was nice to have a good place to fix the tube and get the bicycle ready for tomorrow. This evening we had an excellent meal in the dinning room where we will have cold cereal in the morning. On this trip to date we have traveled 1367 miles and have 6 riding days to go.
