Myrtle Beach to Georgetown SC

Distance 38.1 Miles
Elevation 115 Feet
I have a cold but Mary Kay got up early and went out and watched the sun rise over the ocean. She took a number of pictures of the sunrise and then came back into the room and woke me up.
We left Myrtle Beach around 8:00 AM, rode our bicycle just over 1 mile and then stopped and ate breakfast at a local restaurant. After breakfast we continued going south along the coast but we were too far inland to see the ocean. The land was so flat that we did not do any amount of climbing until we crossed over a river on a high bridge. We arrived in Georgetown just after noon, dropped our luggage at the motel, and headed to the downtown area.
When we arrived in the downtown, we found that they were celebrating a wood boat festival which included a wood boat building contest. In less than 2 hours some constants built a small row boat that they were required to enter into a boat race at 5:00 this afternoon. We had an enjoyable afternoon at this festival. We spent a relaxing couple of hours eating lunch in an outside café.
Tonight we walked to a pizza parlor, not an exceptional meal.
