Quincy to Desert Aire WA
Distance 44.6 Miles
Because of the expected high temperatures we again got up at 5:00 AM and walked to a gas station for breakfast (restaurant did not open until 6:30). Returned to the motel loaded up the bicycle and headed out. Today we had our first flat tire just before we started the first long hill past George.
We had a good ride today although the last 10 miles we had a head wind. When we arrived at the motel we could not get our bicycle around the corner into the room. So the motel loaned us a 2nd motel room that was not cleaned to store the bicycle in. (The motel cleaning lady is sick and will not be in until tomorrow.) We spent most of the afternoon reading and getting caught up on trip reports. Ate an early supper and to bed for the ride home tomorrow.
