Bicycling from Washington DC

2007 - August - September

This trip gives us time to visit with all the family that lives east of the Mississippi and complete a circular route from Washington DC. We are leaving home via Amtrak with a stop in Wisconsin to visit Scott and Barb, and then we will fly to Dayton Ohio, to visit John and Katie, and continue to Washington DC where we will join George and Jane, for a couple of days sightseeing before we head to Harpers Ferry, Gettysburg, & Philadelphia, We will then cycle through New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland to Virginia. We will spend Labor Day in Newport News visiting Bruce & Amber & especially our granddaughter Sophie. We will be then cycle back to Washington DC and a train trip home..

Once again we will be traveling on our Rans Screamer a tandem recumbent, and George and Jane will be traveling on their trusty "Tuesday", a tandem bike Friday. (The bike folds into a suitcase that becomes the trailer for the tour.) It is great to travel with friends that are open to adventures along the way.
